Community Service Story

For Senior Haley Meister, volunteering in the community has grown into a passion that she has begun to share with her peers. After several years of giving of herself to many of our long-standing non-profits in the area, Haley had the idea to start her own business called Picture the Impact (PTI), which helps to connect students to volunteer opportunities that suit their particular interests.

The idea came to Haley last year while she was attending Mr. Daly's Honors Investment and Entrepreneurship Class, which challenged her to start an enterprise of her own. She eventually chose to transition the focus of her non-profit marketing firm into the fully realized concept that is now, Picture the Impact. In our recent interview with Haley (click here), we learned that Picture the Impact is an online platform that has successfully led to the logging of hundreds of community service hours as a result of Haley’s hands-on approach to making community service easily accessible and enjoyable for those interested in taking part. In fact, our interview also featured the dedicated Ellie Tymorek who happily found her calling at The Boynton Beach Soup Kitchen through Picture the Impact’s services. As a registered PTI volunteer, Ellie’s service hours will be automatically recorded with Saint Andrew’s School thanks to a partnership that Haley inked with her beloved school earlier this month.
